JACKSONVILLE, FL - Brian Lamont Cason, 46, passed away suddenly on January 15, 2014. He was born March 23, 1967 in Jacksonville, Ill., and resided in Springfield, Ill. Brian was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served as a Detention Deputy Sheriff with the Clay County Sheriff's Office. Brian was an avid reader, motorcycle rider, workout warrior with an infectious smile and kind nature.
The absolute prides and joys of his life were his two sons that he leaves behind. Their bond is beyond words. Brian was also a beloved son, devoted older brother and true friend. His straight arrow demeanor and strength were a comfort to all he held dear.
He is survived by his sons, Jordan and Nickolaus; mother, Elaine Cason; sister, Jacenta Wilson; Frederick Eubanks; Brian was predeceased by his father James Wilson.
Service and Honor Guard Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 13, at Camp Butler National Cemetery Pavilion. Celebrant is Ruth Souther.
Immediately following the service, the family is inviting everyone to join them at Xochimilco Restaurant located at 3210 Northfield Dr., Springfield, IL 62702, to have lunch and "celebration of life" conversations.
